        工业革命以来,科学技术的成就和经济的发展使人类的物质生活水平有了很大提高,但同时也出现了环境污染、资源短缺两大问题,威胁着人类的生存甚至地球的命运。本文综述了人类面临资源环境问题所进行的思考和可持续发展战略的诞生,可持续发展战略的定义和实施途径以及我国在改变发展模式方面取得的成绩和目前面临的严峻挑战,在此基础上提出了呼吁和建议。

        The progress of science and technology and economic development since industrial revolution have improved peoples material life a great deal.However,environmental pollution and resource consumption have threatened people’s living and the destiny of the earth.Environmental problems and the think of mankind have been reviewed in this paper.The concept of sustainable development and the efforts for implementing sustainable development strategy in China have been discussed in this paper as well.Suggestions have been made for accepting the challenges of environmental pollution and resource conservation.
