        西部是我国生物多样性保护的关键区域,拥有丰富的物种资源和较高的特有种比例,但生态系统脆弱,易受气候变化和人类活动等因素的影响。科技为西部生物多样性保护提供了从监测、评估到修复和决策的全链条支撑。然而,当前仍存在调查监测类群和区域薄弱、理论突破不足、遗传多样性研究缺乏、跨境合作机制不健全、部分区域保护网络未覆盖和人才队伍薄弱等问题。为此,文章建议推动生物多样性监测卫星研发、加强多层次多学科交叉研究、开展遗传多样性调查、建立跨境保护合作网络、统筹推进西部就地保护和迁地保护网络建设,并着力培养生物多样性研究人才,以进一步提升西部生物多样性保护水平,为全球的生物多样性保护与治理贡献中国智慧。
英文摘要
        As a megadiverse country, China has made significant progress in biodiversity conservation in recent years. The western region is a critical area for biodiversity conservation in China, boasting rich species resources and a high proportion of endemic species. However, its ecosystems are fragile and vulnerable to the impacts of multiple factors like climate change and human activities. Scientific and technological support has played a vital supporting role in biodiversity conservation, providing comprehensive support from monitoring and assessment to restoration and decision-making through biodiversity surveys, scientific research, and the establishment of monitoring networks. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including gaps in taxa and areas in survey and monitoring, insufficient theoretical breakthroughs, a lack of genetic diversity research, inadequate cross-border cooperation mechanisms, incomplete protection networks in some regions, and a shortage of talented researchers. To address these issues, this study proposes to develop the biodiversity monitoring satellites, enhance multidisciplinary research, launch genetic diversity survey, establish crossborder protection networks, promote in situ and ex situ networks in an integrated manner, and cultivate talented biodiversity researchers. These efforts aim to further improve biodiversity conservation in the western region and contribute Chinese wisdom to global biodiversity conservation and governance.
