        文章在深刻认识构建西北地区生态保护格局的重大意义基础上,系统归纳了西北地区生态保护的成效以及面临的新问题、新趋势,研究提出了“两域(流域)—六区(核心生态功能区)—多点(关键生态点位)”三位一体的生态保护总体空间布局,并从围绕六大核心生态功能区实施保护修复重点任务,开展绿色低碳循环产业体系建设、生态系统质量整体提升、生态保护机制改革创新三大重点行动的角度,系统论述了构建西北地区生态保护新格局的关键路径,以期为我国加快建设人与自然和谐共生的现代化作出更多西北贡献。
英文摘要
        Based on a profound understanding of the great significance of constructing an ecological protection pattern in Northwest China, this paper systematically summarizes the achievements, new problems and new trends of ecological protection in Northwest China, and accordingly, puts forward an overall spatial arrangement for the ecological protection under “two regions (watersheds)-six zones (core ecological function zones)-multiple points (key ecological points)”. In addition, a key path to construct a new pattern of ecological protection in Northwest China is expounded in order to make more contributions to the acceleration of the harmonious co-existence between human and nature. The path is mainly based on implementing a key task of the protection and restoration around six core ecological function zones, and meanwhile, carrying out three important actions, i.e., the construction of green low-carbon recycling industry system, the overall improvement of ecosystem quality and stability, and the reform and innovation of ecological protection mechanism.

FENG Qi
Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor of Northwest Institute of Eco- Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Feng’s research mainly focuses on ecological protection and hydrology in arid regions. He has presided more than 30 major scientific research projects sponsored by the National Key Research and Development Plan, the Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Science and Technology Supporting Program. He has won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and obtained 13 provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Awards. In addition, he has published 38 authorized patents, 15 academic monographs and more than 500 academic papers.
