        新材料被视为新技术革命的基础和先导,新材料的发展及趋势将深刻影响时代的变化、人类生活和社会发展。当今全球气候变化带来的风险日趋紧迫,新一轮技术革命带来的制造业升级压力空前巨大,世界政治格局发生深刻变化,国家间的竞争与摩擦愈演愈烈,关键材料的快速迭代正日渐成为主流,新材料研发模式本身也亟待变革。文章通过大量调研和梳理,从全球气候变化、制造业产业升级、国家安全及材料基因工程4个维度分析与预测材料科学和技术的发展趋势。
英文摘要
        New materials are considered as the foreguide and the base of the revolution of advanced technology. Its development and trend of new materials greatly influences the human life and society development. Nowadays, the risk of climate change is increasing day by day, the pressure of manufacturing update of new technology revolution is bigger than ever, the competition and the friction between countries become more and more intense, and the iteration of advanced materials turns to a rigid demand. In this work, we analyze and predict the development tread of material from the aspects of climate change, manufacturing update, national security, and materials genome initiative.

WANG Weihua Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries (TWAS). Director of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory of Guangdong Province, Director of Key Laboratory of Extreme Conditions Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Professor of Institutes of Physics, CAS. Dr. Wang's research focuses on science & technology of amorphous matter, applications of metallic glass materials, etc. In recent years, he has presided more than 10 major projects of CAS, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and so on. He has also been involved in the consultation and evaluation of a number of national science and technology development projects.
