        合成生物学研究中,海量的工程化试错实验远远超出传统的劳动密集型研究范式的能力范畴,因而亟需一种变革性的工程化研究平台。工程化平台通过引进各类符合生产所需的智能装备,开展大规模个性定制模式创新,实现生命体的远程定制、异地设计、规模经济生产。工程化平台能够快速积累经验知识,是实现生命体可预测合成的科学基础。文章介绍了合成生物学研究的一些工程化平台,及其上下游机构的发展案例、创新机制与趋势。
英文摘要
        In the field of synthetic biology research, the massive scale of trial-and-error experiments in engineering goes far beyond the traditional labor-intensive research paradigm, so it needs a transformative engineering research platform. With the introduction of various types of intelligent equipment to meet the production needs, engineering platforms carry out a large-scale of customization and research paradigm innovation, to realize the remote customization, offsite design, and economic scale production of organisms. Engineering platforms can accumulate experience and knowledge quickly, and serve as the scientific basis for the predictive synthesis of organisms. This article will introduce some cases and development trends of engineering platforms, as well as upstream and downstream institutions for synthetic biology research.

崔金明 中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院副研究员,中国科学院青年创新促进会会员,于美国普渡大学获生物化学博士学位,美国约翰霍普金斯大学医学院从事博士后研究。研究领域为膜蛋白元件的定向进化、应用微生物学,以及合成生物学科发展政策与伦理研究。作为项目负责人,主持国家级基金两项,地方基金4项。

CUI Jinming Associate Investigator at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology,Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS),and member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association,CAS.He received his Ph.D.in biochemistry from Purdue University,followed by postdoctoral research at School of Medicine,Johns Hopkins University.His current research interests include directed evolution of membrane proteins,applied microbiology,and policy and ethics study of synthetic biology.As a project leader,he has presided over two national funds and four regional funds.

刘陈立 中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院合成生物学研究所研究员、所长,定量合成生物学中心主任。主要研究方向为合成生物基因线路探索生物学的基本原理、肿瘤治疗和定向进化方法开发。牵头筹建"深圳合成生物研究重大科技基础设施"。入选中组部"青年千人计划"、中国科学院"百人计划"。荣获2012年度"香港青年科学家奖"和"李嘉诚奖"、2017年度中源协和生命医学奖创新突破奖。担任ACS Synthetic Biology编委、中国生物工程学会合成生物学专业委员会副主任兼秘书长、深圳合成生物学协会会长等工作。

LIU Chenli Principal Investigator and Director of the Institute of Synthetic Biology,Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology,CAS,and Director of the Center for Quantitative Synthetic Biology.His research interests include exploring the fundamental principles of biology with synthetic gene circuits,tumor therapy,and development of directed evolution methods.He also leads the preparation of the "Shenzhen Major Science and Technology Infrastructure for Synthetic Biology Research" as the Chief Scientist.He is an awardee of the national "Thousand Youth Talents Program" and the "Hundred Talents Program" of CAS.He has been awarded the "Hong Kong Young Scientist Award" and "Li Ka-shing Award" in 2012,and the Zhongyuan Concord Biomedicine Innovation Breakthrough Award in 2017.He serves as an editor of the ACS Synthetic Biology,as the Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Chinese Bioengineering Society,and as President of the Shenzhen Synthetic Biology Association.
