1972年联合国教科文组织通过《世界遗产公约》之后，世界遗产已经发展成为一个世界性的资源保护、文明间对话、国际治理和文化表达的重要平台。世界遗产保护的基本目标也从自然和文化资源的保护，扩展为促进人类社会的可持续发展。在世界遗产的平台上表达自己国家和民族的历史，表达对文明发展的认知，表达自己国家和民族对人类整体文明的贡献，也已成为各个《世界遗产公约》缔约国关注的问题。中国自1985年加入《世界遗产公约》以来，在世界遗产的申报、保护方面取得了举世瞩目的成就，但仍需要制定一个清晰的世界遗产申报和保护战略，更为系统地展现中国文明对于世界的影响，展现和保护中国文化的多样性、文明成就和自然资源，并通过世界遗产这个全球性平台，促进中国与其他国家的对话与交流，促进世界可持续的和平发展。
英文摘要
After the World Heritage Convention was passed by UNESCO in 1972, the world heritage conservation has developed into an important platform for cultural and natural resource conservation, dialogue among civilizations, global governance, and cultural expression. The basic goal of the world heritage conservation is shifting to promote the sustainable development of human society from the protection of natural and cultural resources. The State Parties of the World Heritage Convention have been concerning more and more to express their cultural diversity and history. Since 1985, joined the World Heritage Convention, China has accomplished remarkable achievements in the nomination and protection of world heritage, but still need to make a clear national strategy of World Heritage for systematically expressing China's civilization, cultural diversities, and cultural exchanges and dialogue with other countries, promoting the peaceful worldwide sustainable development.

吕舟 清华大学建筑学院教授,清华大学国家遗产中心主任,中国古迹遗址保护协会(ICOMOS-CHINA)副主席,中国建筑学会理事,建筑史学分会理事长,中国紫禁城学会副理事长,中国圆明园学会副理事长。长期从事文化遗产保护的教学、研究和实践工作,主持大量全国重点文物保护单位保护规划、保护设计工作,主持长江三峡工程淹没范围文物抢救重点工程云阳张飞庙搬迁保护设计,主持"5.12汶川大地震"震后都江堰二王庙、伏龙观修复规划及修复设计,主持青海玉树"4.14"震后文化遗产抢救总体规划,主持南水北调文物保护工程湖北武当山遇真宫抬升保护设计。出版著作4本,获2013年国际文化财产保护与修复研究中心奖(ICCROM Award),2006年获得意大利仁惠之心骑士勋章,2003年、2010年两次获得联合国教科文组织亚太地区文化遗产保护奖。E-mail:lvzhou@mail.tsinghua.edu.cn

He has long been involved in the education, research, and practice of cultural heritage conservation, and has hosted a number of conservation designs or master plans for significant historical heritage sites, such as relocation design of Zhangfei Temple in inundated area of the Three Gorges Project on Yangtze River, conservation design of Er-Wang Temple and Fu-Long Temple (World Heritage) after 5/12 Earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, master plan for cultural heritage conservation after 4/14 Earthquake in Yushu, Qinghai Province, and lift-up design of Yuzhen Palace in Wudang Mountains (World Heritage). He has published 4 books and many research articles. Also he has achieved many awards including "Ha Conferitol'Onorificenza di Cavaliere" by President of Italy in 2006, UNESCO Asian Pacific Cultural Heritage Conservation Award in 2010, and ICCROM Award in 2013.
