        HELPCESS;ELSI;Bioethics;responsibility of scientists

        基于作为人类社会成员的共同责任和专业科技工作者的社会责任,近年来我们积极呼吁将人文精神(Humanity)放在生命伦理讨论的首位,并关注科技与公众的关系(Public-relationship)、文化宗教多样性(Culture)、经济(Economy)、生物安全和生物防护((Bio)Safety/Security)等新问题,在从Ethics(E,伦理)扩展到ELSI(Ethical,Legal and Social Issues/Implications,伦理、法律、社会问题)的基础上,进一步扩展为HELPCESS(Humanity,Ethics,Law,Public-replationship,Culture,Economy,(Bio)Safety/Security and Society,即人文、伦理、法律、公众关系、文化、经济、生物安全/生物防护和社会),现将这些思考草拟成文,不期全面讨论生命伦理,权且抛砖引玉而已。

        As members of modern society and life science researchers,we acknowledge the shouldered responsibility to facilitate bioethics research.Known as the abbreviation for Ethical,Legal and Social Issues/Implications in life science,ELSI extends its original research scope from ethics to law and society.In this paper,we argue that Humanity should be put at the first place in bioethics discussion,and that emerging issues on Public-relationship,Culture,Economy,(Bio)Safety/Security be added to this list.Seizing the opportunity provided by the Bulletin of Chinese Academy of Sciences,we systematically introduce those ideas and invite further discussions.
