        空间天气是一门把空间科学与天基、地基技术系统紧密结合,多学科交叉的新兴学科。主要研究太空灾害性天气的变化规律,进而实现对太空天气的预报,为人类的太空活动和国家安全服务。本文简要介绍了空间天气研究的重要意义、研究进展和发展趋势。

        Space weather is a new inter-discipline which combines space science, space borne and ground based observation technologies. It studies hazardous space phenomena, moreover executes predictions of space weather, provides safety services for human space activities. The space weather comprises three research areas: physics process research of space weather, model development and observations. This paper briefly presents the space weather, research progress, and the perspective.
