In this paper, it is pointed out that the wave flow interaction is not only an universal phenomenon in atmosphere, but also one of main reasons leading to various synoptic phenomena and climatic anomaly. Many important synoptic phenomena may be explained scientifically by the theory of wave propagation and the E P flux theory of wave flow interaction. Here the theory of atmospheric lower layer frontogenesis induced by the acceleration of upper level jet stream is introduced. The parameterization of mean flow dragging effect caused by gravity wave propagating up and its breaking is described. The generalized wave ray theory of the energy dispersion of the low frequency wave, the theory of wave flow interaction related to topography and their application are narrated.
