The article reviews the 65 years of development trail of Chinese Academy of Sciences（CAS）, summarizes a series of innovative outcomes in terms of achievements, talents incubating, and think tank, and elaborates advantageous traditions of running CAS democratically, strengthening CAS by talent, and open to promote CAS. It further specifies the basic principles and main tasks of CAS in the new era. In addition, the article foresees the magnificent picture of CAS to realize the“Pioneer Innovative” action plan and its historical role to China’ s progress in science and technology and national rejuvenation process.

白春礼 化学家和纳米科技专家。 中国科学院院长， 党组书记， 学部主席团执行主席， 发展中国家科学院院长， 中共十八届中央委员会委员 。 1953 年 9 月出生， 辽宁人。 博士。 中国科学院、发展中国家科学院、美国国家科学院、英国皇家学会、俄罗斯科学院等 10余个国家科学院或工程院院士。 兼任中国微纳协会名誉理事长、国家纳米科技指导协调委员会首席科学家等； 中央人才工作协调小组、国家教育改革领导小组、国家“十二五”国民经济社会发展规划专家组成员 ， 国家科技奖励委员会副主任委员等；若干化学和纳米科技领域重要国际学术刊物的共同主编或国际顾问编委。
