        This paper gives an analysis of the background and main purpose of the australian science internationalisation strategy,as well as an introduction to the elements,programs and initiatives of this strategy.The author also presents his own perceptions and suggestions on the opportunity and challenges of developing a strategic partnership of scientific cooperation between China and Australia.
